Virgin wool is taken from the lamb’s first shearing, resulting in a yarn that is the softest and finest taken from a sheep during its life. The main qualities of virgin wool are the combination of its durability and softness. Aside from these qualities, it is naturally breathable in both cold and warm weather as well as being water repellent and insulating. As virgin wool fibres haven’t been shredded or processed like many other wools they are also more resilient. This means less creasing, breakage and ultimately garments that can last for decades.
